I'm sitting in the airport in Jacksonville, FL waiting to fly home after a 2-day PGA Communications Summit in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. The first day I was able to play the famous TPC Sawgrass...yes, I know I just started learning, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to play that course! I even had a caddie and walked the entire 18 holes! I feel sorry for the 3 guys who had to play with me, but a lot of times, I just picked up and walked to the next hole while they finished. Sawgrass is an amazingly beautiful course and VERY hard! It was a chance of a lifetime and I'm glad I got to play. Today was the actual conference and Tommy (boss) and I learned lots of things about the upcoming year in the TOUR.

Mt. Carmel Academy Fall Fest

Kirk, Morgan, my mom and I went to the MCA Fair today and had lots of fun. Morgan loved playing all the games and Kirk enjoyed the putting booth. Here's a picture of Mo after she won at the Country Store Booth. There were lots of good things in the bag, including red beans and rice, spaghetti and sauce, jelly, cake mix and more. Kirk actually won at the putting booth. He got 3 putts in a row and won a 12-pack of Titleist Pro-V Ones, a bottle of Glenlivet Scotch Whiskey and two hats. He was really excited!

The Fore!Kids Foundation held their 7th annual Golf Ball on Friday evening at the Hilton Riverside, and of course I had to be there to work. The Ball is a silent & live auction, dinner and dance. We had tons of items up for auction, including golf memorabilia, golf rounds, dinners, etc. The biggest items were the $20,000 sapphire & diamond ring, $10,000 diamond necklace and (for the guys) a foursome at the TPC Sawgrass, hotel stay, air tickets, golf lesson at the TOUR academy and hotel gift certificates. Needless to say, those items went for mucho dinero, which is wonderful since all of the money raised goes to children's charities. Kirk and I had lots of fun, but it was a long day/evening for me. The Boogie Men didn't stop playing till 12:30 and then we had to clean-up our stuff. Also, we finally got to use our free 2-night stay at the Astor and it was a much better experience than the last time we had stayed there.
